My grandmother believed in angels. She was Catholic, and I think most Catholics (at least those who actually know what their religion says) believe in angels, but if I remember correctly, she talked about them more than most people.
I might be completely making this up. Maybe it’s just a mirage of my childlike memories of her mixed with the fact that people say that when someone dies their loved ones “gain an angel.” My mother will tell me when she reads this. Regardless, for the purposes of this post, she believed in angels, and I think I know why.
