Warning: this post contains spoilers for the graphic novel Watchmen. If you have not read the book, you may want to skip this one. I recommend you read the book and come back—it’s a really good one. If you do, check out our guided reading of Watchmen, available here.
Life is strange. And kind of hard. It’s a struggle to ‘keep up’ sometimes. Consistency can start to feel stifling after a while, and life’s ordinary struggles can feel more and more insurmountable the more they are repeated. What I’m saying is I’ve let some things go. If you’ve been following Thinking Man, this should come as no surprise.
As I’m writing this, the Thinking Man Book Club is on Week 2 of Watchmen. It should be Week 3, but as I said, I’ve let some things go. I did finish the reading for this (or I guess last) week, though, which means that I put down the book after what might be the most intense part of the whole story: Chapter Six, which examines the character of Rorschach.
