Wow, thank you so much, Stone! Yeah, my grandpa is pretty friggin' awesome. He'll enjoy the salute (although he might be somewhat confused by the 'random stranger on the Internet' idea).
I wish the same thing, but life is strange. Maybe if circumstances were different these daily visits wouldn't be happening. Not sure, but it's a thought. Thanks so much for reading, Ian!
Beautiful! My life has always been blessed with elder family in my life. My father sired me when he was 54 and passed away at 90. Being younger allowed me an early glimpse into the daily life of seniors. Thank you Melisa 💗💜💗
Yes, I think it really shapes your world a little different. I’ve always been aware of the needs of the elderly. I’m 70, so I’ve been more aware of my own schedule and the importance of keeping a regular one. My Daddy lived into his 90’s because my nurse Mom’s kept him on a daily plan and only slightly altered it when they left town. Fortunately, his own health was good up until then end when cancer specialists talked him into radiation treatment for a cancer on his neck. That was the best of his last chapter. Thank God it it was a short one.
Thank you for this. You helped me be a better person today. That’s an exceptional gift.
Wow, that's an honor. Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment, Jack.
Wow, Melissa - this story has some powerful, underlying depth to it; damned fine work.
Also? Your grandpa is friggin’ awesome! Give him a salute from me, a random stranger in the Internet… 🫡

Tell me about it.
Ah if I could only be 84 again knowing what I know now. ;-)
Haha! That's pretty much life in a nutshell, isn't it?
Yep. GRIN
This is such a great little story... Well, it's more than a story... I wish his health were better; it's a good thing you go see him often.

Real Truth in the Real world Melissa! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much, Albert! :)

Thank you so much, Charlotte. Your time with your father must have been a blessing.
My mom had me when she was 40, and growing up, I always had an older family than most people. It’s definitely shaped the way I look at the world.
