I'm delighted to see a new story from you! The last was one I eagerly anticipated with each new post, they couldn't come fast enough. I've said it before, but it bears repeating - you are super gifted, your writing style is like no other and it really, REALLY puts me at the location and fills me with the sensations of the character. After reading this first chapter, I'm sure that this story is going to be another one of those story's that keep me wanting more.

That ending was a beauty John. I was thinking of the great a job you did getting inside the head of a meter attendant, wondering how you decided on such a seemingly mundane occupation and then boom! Psychopath. Nice. . .makes one want to pay their parking ticket promptly😉

Thanks Frater. I’ve always wondered if meter maids hated their jobs. Then I thought of things they could like about it and suddenly this popped into my head.

Loved it! And as you’re reading about it you think of all the parking tickets you received and how mad you were at that meter cop! 😂 But then that ending. In the future I will think twice before scorning them. Fortunately in our small community we don’t have parking meters.

They are prominent in San Luis Obispo over on the coast, at at the beach towns. So they were part of my life when I lived there. There is a limit to how long you can park to. So you have to race down to the meter and put more change in them. So I relate. 😂 often times I’d throw a few dimes or quarter in ones I saw about to expire; saving that person stress from a ticket. Kindness forward! 😍
